Besan Ladoo

Besan (gram flour) - 1.5 cups
Ghee (or unsalted butter) - 1/2 cup
Sugar (powdered) - 3/4 cup
Almonds(sliced) - 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp

To garnish
Butter - 1 tbsp
Pistachios (powdered) - 1 tbsp

Heat the ghee in pan and wait till it is smoking hot. Add the besan, lower the heat and keep stirring till the besan changes colour and you start getting the aroma of roasted  besan.
Remove from heat, and let it cool to warm temp. Add the cardamom powder, almonds and sugar. Mix well.
Then make the mixture into small balls (lemon sized).
To garnish the ladoos, dip a quarter inch in butter, followed by the powdered pistachios (just enough for it to stick).
Place it with the garnished side on top.

Cool completely before serving and storing.
